"Mother Nature" by Neill Strain on Eccleston Street
Discover Neill Strain's Mother Nature display on Eccleston Street, just a short stroll from Victoria station.
In keeping with the Belgravia in Bloom theme, Through the Seasons, world-famous florist Neill Strain has designed a breathtaking large-scale display that embodies Mother Nature as the ultimate symbol of growth, renewal and the life-giving force of nature.
The face of Mother Nature will be kept simple with moss and bark on her skin, while the focus of the display will be her magnificent hair, crafted in a lush and organic style.
The colour palette will be a harmonious blend of green, lilac, peach, yellow, lemon, pale pink and white reflecting the vibrancy of the golden threshold where spring and summer meet in the year: the prime of the floral seasons.
The design will evoke a garden-like oasis by incorporating both fresh flowers and flowering plants that are at their seasonal peak. Featured blooms will include hydrangeas, roses, orchids, peonies, amaranthus, anthuriums, begonias, limonium, dianthus and craspedia. The design will also boast a variety of different foliage and textures such as chasmanthium, royal oak, beech and lepidium. For fragrance and freshness, the florist will also incorporate some herbacious plants such as lavender, basil and rosemary.
