Art of Wishes, a charity initiative that supports Make-A-Wish UK, has partnered with Carolina Bucci to launch three limited-edition sterling silver bracelets, with £100 from each sale supporting Make-A-Wish UK. Each Art of Wishes Lucky bracelet was inspired by the creativity of wish children with each child designing the unique charms and colours of each bracelet. Each charm reflects their personal journeys, hopes, and dreams, making each bracelet a symbol of resilience, hope and joy.

The wish children were invited to attend a creative workshop with Carolina in her design “mood room” in London in January. This is the first time Carolina has created a product range that isn’t designed entirely by her but by the wish children. Whilst each of the wish children has their own personal experience of critical illness, they have all experienced the power of a wish and are united in their desire to raise money for Art of Wishes to help make other children’s wishes come true.

Emily Kellett aged 15 who has a rare condition called Arginnosuccinic Aciduria “wished to go to Legoland” and designed a peony flower charm to symbolise magic. Noah Wilsdon aged 12 who has a respiratory, complex lung condition “wished to be in the army and ride in a tank,” designed a lion charm to symbolise courage, and Rosie Matthews aged 10 whose sister Evie “wished to go to Lapland,” designed a dove to symbolise hope. Since her sister had her wish granted, Rosie has been fundraising for Make-A-Wish and previously made her own collection of bracelets to sell in aid of the charity.

Batia Ofer, founder and chair of Art of Wishes commented, “We are incredibly grateful to Carolina Bucci for partnering with Art of Wishes and for creating such beautiful bracelets that truly embody the spirit of the wish children. The fact that each design has been inspired by their imagination makes them extra special and meaningful. Every purchase will help grant more life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness.”

This unique collaboration combines the craftsmanship of Carolina Bucci and the compassion and kindness of the wish children and their desire to raise money to help fund more wishes. Handwoven in Florence with the combination of Hope, Courage and Magic, the sale of each bracelet will contribute £100 to Make-A-Wish UK. Inspired by friendship bracelets, the Lucky bracelet was Carolina Bucci’s first design over 20 years ago. The sentiment of “Double knot and make a wish” has always been part of the Lucky bracelets’ story and that’s why this association with the charity feels so natural.

Carolina Bucci commented “Making wishes is what my jewellery has been about since the start of the brand, so working with Art of Wishes and the Make-A-Wish children to design these bracelets has been the most wonderful experience – joyful and humbling in equal measure.”
